Centenary Maroon Jackets Sponsor Day on Campus for LightHouse Students and Public Presentation in Honor of MLK Day Jan. 19
SHREVEPORT, LA — Centenary College and its Maroon Jackets honor organization will observe Martin Luther King, Jr. Day with a free, public convocation featuring Dr. Luther Ivory, a Memphis pastor and professor, at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 19 in Brown Chapel.
Dr. Ivory is an assistant professor at Rhodes College and pastor at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church USA in Memphis. He will speak on "Wake Up and Dream."
The program is part of a day-long MLK Day observance that includes LightHouse and Centenary students spending time together on campus.
Also participating in the event will be Centenary students Shironda Smith and Katie McKay, the Psalm Singers and Centenary Provost Darrel Colson. Before and after the program, Centenary students will introduce the LightHouse students to the campus and the dining hall.
