Centenary Zetas Host Think Pink! Golf Tournament March 5 to Benefit Breast Cancer Research, Awareness

SHREVEPORT, LA — The Beta Iota chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha at Centenary College will hold a Think Pink! Golf Tournament at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 5, to benefit breast cancer research and awareness.

The event will be held at Olde Oaks Golf Course in Haughton, La., where Centenary alumnus and pro golfer Hal Sutton practices.

The entry fee is $100 per adult and $50 per student, which includes lunch, a cart, 18 holes and range balls. Entry fee for spectators is $5. Spectators and golfers are automatically entered for a drawing.

Registration and entry fees must be postmarked by Monday, Feb. 28. Registration forms and mailing address can be found at http://www.centenary.edu/life/zta/thinkpink05.htm.

This event is open to the public. Supporters unable to attend the tournament can enter as a "Phantom Golfer" by donating to the Zeta Tau Alpha Foundation and mailing it to the address on the registration form.

Think Pink! Golf Tournament will consist of four-person teams and will begin in shotgun format.

The Zeta Tau Alpha Foundation has been dedicated to serving others since the 1940s. In the 1990s, ZTA adopted Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer program as its national philanthropy and expanded its service to include all breast cancer education and awareness.

“We have been working to raise campus and community awareness of breast cancer research and education since 1992,” says Ashley Vick, ZTA historian. “This year we look forward to meeting our goal of raising a million dollars for breast cancer research and awareness during the Think Pink! Golf Tournament.”
