Centenary Biology Major Josh Broussard Earns Texas Award for Best Undergraduate Research Presentation
SHREVEPORT, LA — Josh Broussard of Centenary College of Louisiana, received the Rollin H. Baker Award Saturday (Feb. 18) at the 24th annual meeting of the Texas Society of Mammalogists. This award is given for the best undergraduate research presentation.
At Centenary, Broussard is a senior biology major from Maurice, La. His research was conducted this past summer while participating in the National Science Foundation Research Experience for Undergraduates at Texas A&M with Dr. Scott Chirhart, assistant professor of biology at Centenary.
The Texas Society of Mammalogists holds its annual meeting each year in February at the Texas Tech University Center at Junction. Students (both graduates and undergraduates) present the results of their research efforts as either an oral or poster presentation.
Broussard will be attending graduate school at Vanderbilt University
