Centenary Celebrates Christmas Candlelight Service Dec. 7 in Brown Memorial Chapel

SHREVEPORT, La.— Centenary College will share an annual Christmas tradition with the community on Friday, Dec. 7, 2007, when it presents its Christmas Candlelight Service, a program of readings, prayer, music, song and candle lighting in Brown Memorial Chapel. The program is free and open to the public with the service beginning at 6 p.m.

Music will be provided by the Centenary Camerata and Chorale singers, conducted by Dr. Julia B. Thorn; the Centenary College Choir, directed by David Hobson and accompanied by Christine Linschoten and Ruben Reyes; the Centenary Brass Quintet; and Dr. Hollice Watson, organist.

After the service, the congregation is invited to attend a reception and visit with Santa in the Magale Library on campus. For further information, contact the Centenary Chaplainís Office at 318-869-5156.
