CLC Fundraiser event features Rev. Adam Hamilton as Keynote Feb. 2

SHREVEPORT, La. (Centenary News Service) — The Reverend Adam Hamilton will be the featured speaker at the 5th Annual Fundraising Dinner for the Christian Leadership Center at Centenary College of Louisiana Wednesday, Feb. 2, at First United Methodist Church of Shreveport. The church is located at 500 Common Street.

The event begins at 5:45 p.m., with silent auction and book signing with Rev. Hamilton; dinner begins at 6 p.m. Registration is $40 per ticket, or $275 for table of eight.

Rev. Hamilton pastors The United Methodist Church of the Resurrection in Leawood, Kan., welcoming 7,500 worshipers weekly. He was named Distinguished Evangelist of the United Methodist Church by the Foundation for Evangelism and one of "Ten People to Watch in America's Spiritual Landscape" by Religion and Ethics Newsweekly. Rev. Hamilton has also received the Bínai Bírith award in Social Ethics, the Denman Award in Evangelism and the Circuit Rider Award for excellence in church leadership.

With the Master of Divinity from Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University, Rev. Hamilton has authored many books, including 24 Hours That Changed the World and Seeing Gray in a World of Black and White, and several small group studies published by Abingdon Press. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board at Saint Paul School of Theology in Kansas City, and leads a network of the 100 largest churches in United Methodism. He lectures on leadership, evangelism and preaching across the country.
