Centenary launches app
SHREVEPORT, LA — Connecting with Centenary College is now easier than ever with a new free app available for Android and Apple smartphone users.
"We're constantly exploring new ways of connecting the Centenary community," said Matt Bailey, senior director of external relations. "Today, almost everyone is connected to the world through their smartphone, so naturally that's where we wanted Centenary to be. We're looking forward to getting feedback and continuing to improve our services and campus communications."
With the free app, users can access the "News and Events" feature to stay informed about what’s happening on campus. "Push Notifications" are also available for Shreveport-Bossier events and other important alerts. Other features include:
The Campus Map can help those new to Centenary find their way around.
An Emergency option accesses contact information for the Department of Public Safety.
Multimedia and Twitter options give direct access to Centenary YouTube videos and the latest tweets.
The Athletics button provides up-to-the-minute sports news.
