Five Centenary community members recognized as promising young professionals
SHREVEPORT, LA — Five members of the Centenary community are among the recently announced recipients of this year's prestigious 40 Under 40 award. Recognized annually by the Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals Initiative, this year's recipients will be honored at the sixth annual Northwest Louisiana Young Professionals Gala presented by CityLife on Friday, December 7, 2012, at the Horseshoe Casino Riverdome.
Krystle Beauchamp, Centenary’s Associate Director of Stewardship, feels honored in being named one of this year's award recipients.
"It is such a great honor to be recognized alongside so many other talented young professionals as a member of the 2012 40 Under 40 class," said Beauchamp. "As a Shreveport native, it is such a privilege and pleasure to be able to give back to my community both professionally and civically, and I am very appreciative of the Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce for selecting me as a recipient this year."
Four other Centenary community members join Krystle on the 40 Under 40 list this year.
Amy Gardner '03 graduated from Centenary with a BA in English and is now an attorney at Casten & Pearce, APLC in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Dr. Jason Maggio '01 majored in Health and Exercise Science while at Centenary and now owns All the Way Chiropractic. He participated in the 2012 Summer Olympic Games as a wellness physician.
Corey Shadd '09 graduated with a BS in Business Administration. Currently the Corporate Director of Marketing for Evergreen Life Services, he served as both the SGA and Choir president while a student at Centenary. Shadd is the Shreveport-Bossier Chapter President for Centenary’s alumni association.
Chris Solomon is a friend of the college who is married to Centenary Director of Alumni and Family Relations, Saige Wilhite Solomon. Solomon is a CPA at Heard, McElroy & Vestal, LLC.
Established by the Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce, the 40 Under 40 award is designed to distinguish outstanding professionals under the age of forty working in public, private, or non-profit sectors. Each year, forty winners are chosen based on values that include experience, leadership, community involvement, innovation, and achievement.
