New Faculty for the 2012-13 Academic Year

Each year, new faculty join the ranks of our distinguished faculty. Here are the new faculty members who arrived on campus in the fall of 2012.

Tenure-Track Faculty:

  • Spencer Dew, with a Ph.D. from the University of Chicago Divinity School, will join the Religious Studies department as an Assistant Professor.

  • Matt Murphy will complete his Ph.D. from the University of California-San Diego this summer, and joins the History and Political Science department as an Assistant Professor.

  • Jessica Hawkins, who joined the faculty as a Visiting Assistant Professor in 2011, is now in a tenure-track position with the Art & Visual Culture department.

Other Faculty:

  • Rebecca Murphy, a 2006 alum of Centenary College of Louisiana, completed her dissertation from Texas A&M University this summer. She joins the Biology department as a Visiting Assistant Professor.

  • Jonathan E. Westfall, with a Ph.D. from the University of Toledo, in Toledo, Ohio, joins the Psychology department as a Visiting Assistant Professor.
