- Washington Internship Institute : The Washington Internship Institute (WII), an educational nonprofit organization, is committed to individual development through excellence in experiential education. - New York Media Experience: College students from across America have met the challenge of interning with the biggest companies in the media world - with the help of the New York Media Experience Program.
- Project Vote Smart Internships : The Project Vote Smart National Internship Program provides a unique lesson in the study of American politics. Students from across the nation and around the world come to our high tech research center in the Montana Rockies for ten weeks to help American citizens educate themselves about elected officials and candidates.

- Peace Corps
The Peace Corps traces its roots and mission to 1960, when then Senator John F. Kennedy challenged students at the University of Michigan to serve their country in the cause of peace by living and working in developing countries. - Shreveport-Bossier Community Renewal
Shreveport-Bossier Community Renewal works to restore the foundation of safe and caring communities by rebuilding the system of caring relationships.
