Getting CULTURE Credit
Students have 4 options to successfully complete their CULTURE credit:
1. May Module
May Modules are two - four week courses that take place in Shreveport, across the United States, and around the globe. May Modules are led by Centenary faculty and each module explores a unique topic not typically offered during the academic year. Click HERE to learn more about these opportunities.
2. Independent CULTURE Projects OR Independent Modules
Independent CULTURE Projects provide students the opportunity to explore any culture that interests them by essentially creating their own intercultural experience. Click HERE to learn more about the process of creating and completing an Independent CULTURE Project.
Students are also able to create their own module independently from the ones offered each May. To learn about the process of completing an Independent Module and attaching CULTURE credit to it, click HERE.
3. International Exchange & Study Abroad Programs
Centenary students are given the opportunity to study abroad through one of our 9 exchange partnerships or study abroad opportunities. Click HERE to learn more about these options.
4. Advanced Language Study
Students taking foreign language study courses can receive their CULTURE credit by successfully completing a certain number of these courses at the 300 or 400 level. For more information about this option click HERE.
**Full-time International Degree Seeking Students do NOT have to fulfill the CULTURE component of the Trek requirement in order to graduate from the college.
