About the Office of Intercultural Engagement
Mission Statement
The mission of the Office of Intercultural Engagement (OIE) is three fold. First, OIE administers the CULTURE component of the TREK experience. We are charged to assist students and faculty in the design of programs for submission to the Trek Committee, to monitor funding opportunities for international activities and to advise students on overseas opportunities offered by Centenary College and other institutions.
Second OIE administers the faculty/student exchange programs between Centenary College and institutions located in other countries.
Third, OIE serves as a resource to all international students and leads the process in coordinating all international exchange students from other countries matriculating at Centenary College.
Purpose
- Coordinate the CULTURE component of the Trek Experience,
- Advise students on overseas opportunities for Study Abroad,
- Administer Exchange Programs for faculty and students between the college's exchange partners
- Provide assistance to all international students and leads the process in coordinating all international exchange students from other countries matriculating at Centenary College.
- Monitor support opportunities for International Activities.
Location
We are located in the 2910 Building on Centenary Boulevard. Listed as the Center for Extended Learning on the campus map, the building faces the Meadows Museum.
Hours
The Office of Intercultural Engagement is typically open Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm
