Janice Aiken, currently teaches private voice at Centenary College. In addition, she serves as an artistic consultant, coach and stage director for Shreveport Opera’s young artists’ program. In 2002 she was a co-creator of the Opera Memphis Summer Conservatory and served as Conservatory Director for the next five years. Ms. Aiken also maintains an active private voice studio.

Ms. Aiken’s performing career includes over 20 leading roles in regional companies. Performances include premieres such as the off-Broadway production of “Rasputin” by Terry Quinn and a tour of Michael Ching’s “Corp of Discovery.” Ms. Aiken’s concert credits include appearances as a featured soloist with the Memphis Symphony, Allegro Society with the Festival Orchestra of Philadelphia, and the Ocean City, New Jersey Pops Orchestra’s. In 2004 Ms. Aiken was a featured concert artist in Kashima Japan.

Ms. Aiken received her Bachelor of Music degree from College-Conservatory of Music, University of Cincinnati and Master of Music degree from The University of Memphis.
