Schedule of Events

Remember Our Centenary Family

We invite alumni to create space during Homecoming activities to remember and honor classmates, former faculty, and friends who have passed away during the last year. Votive candles will be available to light in remembrance of those we have lost. We encourage this time to be a place of reflection, silence, and/or the spiritual practice of prayer. The chapel will be open Friday, October 20, from 8a-8p; Saturday, October 21, from 9a-6p; and Sunday, October 22, from 12p-4p.

Homecoming Archives Exhibit

Homecoming: Centenary 1967, 1992, 2007

Centenary College of Louisiana hosts its 2017 homecoming celebration from October 20 through 22.  The annual festivities regularly include reunion gatherings of alumni classes.

This exhibit highlights material connected to the class of 1967 (50th reunion), class of 1992 (25th reunion), and class of 2007 (10th reunion).  Some themes were traced through multiple years – the college’s buildings and grounds, guest speakers, classroom settings, and athletics.

This exhibit includes material sourced from administrative office records, alumni magazines, basketball programs, course catalogs, maps, photographs, posters, student handbooks, student newspapers, and yearbooks.

This exhibition was researched and prepared by Olivia Brignac (archives student worker) and Chris Brown (Centenary’s archivist).  It features material from the Centenary College of Louisiana Archives and Special Collections. View the online exhibit HERE.
