Centenary College is reopening during Phase II of the State of Louisiana’s OpenSafely Plan. Centenary’s multi-stage return plan is benchmarked against the College calendar and may not precisely mirror state or federal re-opening plans.

 

Stage 1: Employee Return (June 8, 2020)

  • Staff and faculty working in individual offices
  • Meetings by phone or teleconference
  • Facilities and food service staff performing essential duties
  • Fitness Center closed
  • No public events or facility rentals

 

Stage 2: SOAR and M.A.T. summer courses (Mid-June to July)

  • SOAR visitors in designated indoor campus spaces and most outdoor spaces with the exception of athletic facilities
  • M.A.T. students and faculty in Centenary Square classroom spaces
  • Magale Library open on an abbreviated schedule
  • Fitness Center closed
  • No public events or facility rentals

 

Stage 3: Pre-Fall Return - Student Leaders and Athletes (Late July to early August)

  • Returning students in residence halls, designated indoor campus spaces, and most outdoor spaces with the exception of athletic facilities (unless determined safe under current conditions)
  • Fitness Center closed
  • No public events or facility rentals

 

Stage 4: Fall Term (August to December)

  • Residence halls, indoor campus spaces (while masking and maintaining 6 feet of distance), and most outdoor spaces are open to the Centenary campus community.
  • Fall athletic competition is suspended. See the statement from Athletic Director Marcus Manning for more details.
  • Fitness Center open to Centenary community only.

 

Stage 5: Winter Break and Spring
