Clubs and Organizations

Students may use Engage to communicate with organization members. Engage trainings will be updated on the website and available for playback. Student Organization Resource Room handouts will be available in digital form on the website, including officer transition resources.

College Chaplain & CLC

Lindy is available to students, faculty, and staff for one-on-one appointments in person, by phone, or via electronic format. The Chaplain’s office will continue to offer Chapel Services every Tuesday in person and via YouTube. Canvas groups have been set up for the Awakened Life series. The Chaplain’s office will be adding regular posts on Engage with words of encouragement and spiritual inspiration. We will be posting meditation and spiritual videos via social media.

CLC Colloquium will gather at normal class time in person in Kilpatrick Auditorium and via Zoom. New applications for the fall semester are accessible in Engage. The CLC Director is available to students daily through in person, email, phone, Canvas, and GroupMe chat (for currently enrolled CLC students).


Commuter Students

Commuting students who live off-campus are not permitted to enter the residence halls, but otherwise have the same rights and access as residential students. Student who live off-campus are asked to be particularly vigilant in their social distancing measures as outlined in the Forward Safely Promise. Like other students, commuting students are required to do a daily self-check for coronavirus symptoms and are asked to stay home and isolate if ill or if they have come in contact with someone who is COVID-positive. All local-exception commuter students are required to purchase a meal plan.

Magale Library

The library has created a remote access guide to assist students.

All electronic resources will be available at and librarians will be available to assist students Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Saturday from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.


Post Office

The Post Office will be open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Students who would like to have their mail forwarded (or unforwarded) from campus should fill out this form.

Residence Life

All residential buildings remain open and fully operational. All of the professional staff and some student staff remain in residence on campus. Students can contact the Residence Life staff member on call/on duty by calling 318.207.1836. Meetings, such as those associated with mentoring, Student Conduct, student organizations, and supervision, will be held both in-person and by video conferencing when practical and telephone otherwise. Social and educational events will shift primarily to online formats, whether hosted by an RA or one of the student organizations associated with on-campus living. Each Hall Council (HC), the National Residence Halls Honorary (NRHH), and the Residence Halls Association (RHA) will continue to serve the students they represent.

Dining services (see above) is open with modified hours and format. Facilities Services remains open and operational.

Student Union Building (SUB)

The SUB is currently open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The pool table and ping pong tables are still available to check out. SUB staff are making sure that the equipment is being properly cleaned after each use.

Virtual SUB

The Virtual SUB is a space where students can engage with one another outside of the online classroom environment. The Student Development Staff encourage you to participate in discussions via the Virtual SUB. Leadership resources, social distancing activities, and additional resources will soon be located in the "Files" section of the Virtual SUB.
