Centenary College students were invited to Centenary’s first Scholarship Match Day

Centenary College students were invited to Centenary’s first Scholarship Match Day as part of Homecoming week. The College offers a wide variety of financial aid for students, with 99% of students receiving some form of financial assistance. Generous donors to the College have established numerous endowments that provide perpetual support for scholarships and endowed professorships and contribute to annual scholarships, ensuring that outstanding students have access to a Centenary education regardless of their financial situation.

At the Scholarship Match Day celebration, students learned more about the donors behind the scholarships they received for the 2019-2020 academic year. “I did not realize that the scholarships I have received were because of donors to the College,” said senior Sarah Dant. “I am thankful to all of the donors who have helped make my education at Centenary possible. Without the help of scholarships, I may not have been able to attend.”

Centenary has over 300 endowments that support not only student scholarships but also campus facilities and programs. The Meadows Museum Endowment, for example, is one of many endowments that help to support the needs of departments and programs from unforeseen emergencies to day to day operations.
