Labor Omnia Vincit Scholarships at Centenary College honor the College’s motto: Work conquers all.

Labor Omnia Vincit Scholarships make a Centenary education a reality for many students on campus regardless of their financial circumstances. As a way to meet the demand for one of the most crucial needs of the College, the LOV Scholarship provides tuition underwriting to current Centenary students.

These annual scholarships directly support a specific student at Centenary and are established at the $15,000 level, which is the overall average of what a Centenary College student pays in tuition per year. Donors making a four-year commitment of $60,000 can add preferences such as an academic interest or geographic origin of the student they wish to support. Donors are able to follow that specific student’s Centenary career through letters, the annual Legacy Luncheon, and other opportunities.

“These scholarships allow capable students to better themselves intellectually and help them have an easier time achieving goals and dreams that would otherwise be unreachable,” says Laura Giacalone, junior and LOV Scholarship recipient. “I am thankful for the opportunity this scholarship gives me. Many students, like myself, come from lower income households and would not normally be able to afford a quality higher education. Without donor support, my pursuit and mastery of both biology and studio art would be impossible.”

Labor Omnia Vincit Scholarships at Centenary College honor the College’s motto: Work conquers all. This phrase serves a reminder to students that their hard work and dedication will lead to success. It is also a reminder to the dedicated donors that a gesture in providing these scholarships leads to the gift of an education.
