From the Editor

Centenary Magazine is one vehicle for “telling our story” as a college community, and each issue gives us the opportunity to follow our individual threads as they are woven into a diverse collective narrative. While working on the summer 2023 issue, I was particularly struck by the range of life events represented within: local celebrations (Mardi Gras!), professional promotions and achievements, academic rites of passage, and one very special memorial service. These events are a testament to the rich and full lives - lives of “vitality and purpose,” as our mission states - that Centenary students, alumni, faculty, and staff live each day. As we look ahead to our bicentennial in 2025, Centenary College is proud to celebrate its past, present, and future!
