Centenary faculty named among Top 25 Best
A new report on CBS MoneyWatch recognized Centenary College as one of the Top 25 Colleges with the Best Professors. Centenary is the only institution in the Ark-La-Tex area to receive this distinction. The Center for College Affordability and Productivity compiled the list from the more than 15 million student ratings of college professors on RateMyProfessors.com.

Centenary Ranked Nationally in Top 100 Best Values

Kiplinger’s Personal Finance Magazine has named Centenary College as one of the “Best Values in Private Colleges” in its top 100 annual ranking. Centenary is the only private liberal arts college in a multi-state region to be recognized for the honor.
Kiplinger’s noted that private colleges spend more per student than public colleges, offer better service and smaller classes, and devote more resources to the campus setting. Centenary was chosen as a college where academic strength and affordability exist side by side.

Centenary Climbs to Tier One in U.S. News & World Report Ranking

Centenary College was named one of the best liberal arts colleges in the nation in the annual ranking of America’s Best Colleges by U.S. News & World Report released today. Centenary climbed from the second tier last year to Tier One of the Best National Liberal Arts Colleges. This year, data was collected from more than 1800 schools across America to determine best quality as well as best value. Centenary was ranked highly based on several factors including its strong academic reputation. It was the only college in Louisiana to receive the tier one designation.

Centenary College of Louisiana has been named again among the top colleges and universities in the nation for 2011 by Forbes.com and the Princeton Review. Forbes.com has recognized Centenary as one of "America's Best Colleges" overall, "Best Private Colleges," and "Best Colleges in the South." The Princeton Review acknowledged the College as being one of the "Best 376 Colleges" and "Best Southeastern Colleges." Princeton Review: Centenary One of Best Southeastern Colleges for 2011

Centenary is one of 133 institutions receiving the "Best" in the Southeastern designation in the 2011 Best Colleges: Region by Region and one of The Best 373 Colleges in the country for undergraduate education. The College has consistently been on the select list since 2004.
Robert Franek, Princeton Review's senior vice president of publishing and author of the book, said, "We chose Centenary and the other terrific institutions we named as 'regional best' colleges mainly for their excellent academic programs and opportunities for students."

Forbes.com: Centenary Among "America's Best Colleges"

For the third consecutive year, Centenary College of Louisiana has been named by Forbes.com as one of "America’s Best Colleges" for 2010, receiving a ranking of No. 327 out of 610 of "the best public and private colleges and universities —from the student's point of view." Centenary is among a select group of colleges representing only 15 percent of the nearly 4,000 colleges in the U.S.
The third-annual ranking of "America's Best Colleges," compiled by Forbes and the Center for College Affordability and Productivity, ranks the more than 600 undergraduate institutions based on the quality of the education they provide, the experience of the students and how much they achieve.
Princeton Review Names Us One of "The Best 371 Colleges" in 2010
Centenary College is one of the nation’s best institutions for undergraduate education and one of the "best" Southeastern colleges according to The Princeton Review, the New York-based education services company known for its test-prep courses. The College is featured in the just-published 2010 edition of its annual book, "The Best 371 Colleges."

Newsweek: Centenary One of 25 Hottest Schools in US

In its College Guide '08, Newsweek/MSNBC ranked Centenary as one of the Hottest 25 Schools in America, calling us the "Hottest Liberal Arts School You've Never Heard Of." They went on to say that we are a
rare combination of academic innovation, with students creating their own majors, and big-time sports (except football). The college also has a solid reputation in various professions, from performing arts to geology.
Newsweek's ranking places us in fine company along with schools like Princeton, Harvard and 22 other great colleges across the nation.
Our local newspaper, the Shreveport Times , wrote that Centenary's recognition was good for our entire community.
