The Davis C.A.R.E. Center is a hub that provides services and programs that help students maintain and enhance their physical and emotional well-being in order to achieve their educational, personal, and wellness goals.

This office is not a medical facility but does offer over the counter medications, medical and dental referrals, and short-term, confidential counseling. The office also provides information and programming about physical and mental health, sexuality, eating disorders, stress, and other issues relevant to the college experience.

Don and Sallie Davis

The creation of the Davis CARE Center was supported through a generous gift from the Davis family. Don and Sallie Davis built a remarkable legacy of giving back to Shreveport – the city where they met and shared more than 60 years of marriage. As President, CEO, and Chairman of the Board for Rockwell International and Rockwell Automation, Don played a pivotal role in shaping the company into a successful global enterprise. As college graduates, Don and Sallie believed deeply that education is the foundation for achievement in both life and career. Their contribution reflects their lifelong commitment to opportunity, learning, and service.
