On Tuesday, December 1, Centenary College will participate in its sixth consecutive Giving Tuesday, a national day of philanthropy that follows Black Friday and Cyber Monday and encourages giving to non-profits in communities all over the nation. Giving Tuesday has quickly become the most popular day to make a gift to Centenary College.

The Giving Tuesday effort relies primarily on social media and email appeals encouraging community members to join the online giving effort. An addition to the Centenary Giving Tuesday campaign this year will be a Class Reunion Challenge to raise funds for an annual class scholarship to support current Ladies and Gents. Members of the classes of 1970 (50 Years), 1995 (25 Years), 2010 (10 Years) and 2015 (5 Years) will engage in a giving challenge to see which Reunion Class will win bragging rights for most dollars raised and most participating class members. During class reunion celebrations anticipated this spring, the Reunion Classes will be recognized, and all annual class scholarships will be awarded at the annual Legacy Luncheon. It’s easy to participate - just share the links and challenge your classmates to give!
Thanks to alumni and friends of the college, Centenary received over $140,000 in donations during Giving Tuesday in 2019. This year the goal is to raise $200,000 toward student scholarships and critical needs across campus.
