Centenary launches new “Forward 5” alumni award program

SHREVEPORT, LA – Centenary has announced a new award to recognize young alumni who are making an impact through their professional accomplishments and community engagement. The Forward 5 award will be given annually to five alumni under the age of 40 and will be presented for the first time at a luncheon held during Homecoming 2022.

“The Centenary Forward 5 program honors young alumni who uphold the mission of the College, which is to ‘prepare global citizens to live productive lives of vitality and purpose,’” said Katie Chopin ’16, director of alumni and family relations at Centenary. “The award recipients are problem solvers, trailblazers, and pacesetters.”

The Forward 5 award will spotlight five young alumni each year, across a variety of fields, for having made a significant impact in business, research, leadership, public service, and/or philanthropic endeavors. In addition to demonstrated achievement in professional and civic endeavors, nominees must be 39 years of age or younger, hold an undergraduate or graduate degree from Centenary, and demonstrate a commitment to maintaining a lifelong connection to the College.

An online nomination form for the inaugural Forward 5 award is available at centenary.edu/alumni-awards/forward-5.
