Centenary plans summer Open House for July 16

SHREVEPORT, LA — Prospective students have a chance to tour Centenary this weekend during the summer Open House hosted by the College's Office of Admission. The Open House program will run from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 16.

"Our summer Open House is the perfect opportunity for students and families to learn more about Centenary and all we have to offer," says Lauren Carlton, Assistant Director for Recruitment. "Students will hear about the admission and application process, tour campus, and have the chance to speak one on one with our professors and students. The program allows students to see how Centenary prepares them to do more for themselves, for others, and for the world."

Students and families will start the morning with breakfast and an informative session covering admission and financial aid before embarking on an interactive tour of Centenary's beautiful 65-acre campus in Shreveport's Highland neighborhood. During lunch, Open House visitors will learn about academic programs and student life from a panel of students and faculty members. The day concludes with an Academic Browse where visitors can ask questions and learn more about their specific areas of interest.

"I enjoy open houses because I get to interact with so many potential students and share why I love Centenary so much," says Head Student Ambassador Brittany Wagner, a biology major from Chicago, Illinois. "We're a tight-knit community and that's part of what makes Centenary so unique."

Students interested in attending the Open House can register online at centenary.edu/visit. For more information, contact the Office of Admission at 800.234.4448 or 318.869.5131.
