Centenary recognizes students at annual spring Honors Convocation

SHREVEPORT, LA — Centenary College recognized students for achievements in academics and campus leadership at its annual spring Honors Convocation held Friday, May 3, in the College’s Brown Memorial Chapel. Honorees included recipients of academic department and campus awards as well as those inducted into honor societies.

Centenary president Dr. Christopher L. Holoman also recognized four faculty members who are retiring after many years of service to the College:

Professor Bruce Allen, professor of art (1983-2019)

Dr. David Havird, professor of English (1988-2019)

Dr. Betsy Rankin-Christensen, professor of economics (1988-2019)

Dr. Samuel Shepherd, professor of history (1980-2019)
