Centenary's “Beast Feast” fundraiser is April 27

SHREVEPORT, LA — The Centenary Alumni Association’s annual “Beast Feast: Something for Everyone” fundraiser returns Saturday, April 27, from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m. on Centenary’s Jones Rice Field. Beast Feast is a unique, festival style culinary event featuring an array of meat, seafood, and a few vegan items prepared by local backyard chefs and popular restaurateurs.

The event proceeds support student scholarships at Centenary College.

“We can’t wait to welcome everyone to campus for the sixth annual Beast Feast,” said Katie Chopin, director of alumni and family relations at Centenary. “The event gets bigger and better each year and this year will be no exception. We’re excited to see all the teams coming together and can’t wait to see what they cook up!”

Centenary is still looking for backyard chefs and cook teams who would like to have a chance at winning the Best of Beast Feast award. Teams can enter one of four categories: Beef/Poultry/Pork, Seafood, Wild Game, and Vegan/Vegetarian. There are still a limited number of event and table sponsorships available as well.

For more information, visit centenarybeastfeast.com. A full list of chefs and cook teams will be updated in the coming weeks.

Individual tickets for Beast Feast are $25 in advance and $40 at the door. VIP tickets are $75 and include early entry to the festival as well as a commemorative cup that grants the holder unlimited visits to the bar area. Advance tickets are available at centenaryebeastfeast.com. All tickets include sample-sized food portions from vendors and unlimited soda and bottled water. Premium craft beer will also be available for purchase. Children 12 and under are free and can enjoy games and activities in the Kid Zone.
