Centenary’s Bicentennial Village opening on schedule for Monday
Just months after breaking ground on the new Bicentennial Village, Centenary College will mark its grand opening on Monday, August 18, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. The College’s newest residences are located at 190 East Kings Highway, Shreveport, LA, 71104. Workers will use the weekend to add finishing touches. They will be cleaning up the exterior and interior of the buildings, building a gazebo, adding landscaping, and pouring walkways so students may start moving in.
The Village was named to commemorate Centenary’s bicentennial year. Centenary was founded in 1825. The new “apartment-style” living boasts four (4) three-story buildings and can house up to 96 students depending on configuration. Each floor offers six bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a large shared kitchen and living area. The kitchens are equipped with full-size appliances, and each floor has its own washer and dryer. The first floors of each building are fully accessible for students with mobility challenges.
Tours and light refreshments will follow the ceremony on Monday.
