Centenary set to welcome prospective students to Admission Open House July 20

SHREVEPORT, LA — Prospective students will have a chance to tour Centenary during the summer Open House hosted by the College’s Office of Admission. The Open House program will run from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 20.

“Open Houses offer a fun and relaxed way to see Centenary’s gorgeous campus,” says Kaleb Behm, a 2018 Centenary graduate and current admission counselor at the College. “Prospective students can meet some of our well-respected professors and hear about all of the wonderful opportunities reserved for Centenary students, such as scholarships and a wide variety of study-abroad opportunities!”

Students and families will start the morning with breakfast and an interactive tour of Centenary's beautiful 65-acre campus in Shreveport’s Highland neighborhood followed by informative sessions covering admission and financial aid. The day will conclude with lunch and an Academic Browse where visitors can ask Centenary professors and students questions about their specific areas of interest.

“Open Houses are one of my favorite events that I get to be involved in at Centenary because they give me the opportunity to welcome potential students and their families to campus,” says Hayley Hardel ’21, a biology major and Shreveport native. “Open Houses are one of the best ways to show people what Centenary has to offer, and I really enjoy getting to be a part of them.”

Students interested in attending the Open House can register online at centenary.edu/openhouse. For more information, contact the Office of Admission at 800.234.4448 or 318.869.5131.
