Centenary student wins statewide “Student of the Year” award

Centenary College congratulates Brianna Hightower on being named the 2025 Student Leader of the Year by the Louisiana Association of College and University Student Personnel Administrators (LACUSPA).

On October 6th, Brianna was honored with this prestigious statewide award in Hammond, Louisiana at Southeastern Louisiana University, which recognizes an undergraduate student each year for outstanding leadership, community impact, and dedication to student life and higher education throughout Louisiana.

Throughout her time at Centenary, Brianna has demonstrated exceptional commitment to enhancing campus life and fostering a welcoming environment for all students. She currently serves as the Student Involvement Intern, where she actively collaborates with student organizations to create meaningful programming and events that promote engagement and inclusivity. As Coordinator of Le Quartier Français (LQF) Activities Board, she has spearheaded numerous initiatives that celebrate cultural diversity and encourage student participation. Additionally, she holds the position of Secretary/Treasurer for the Centenary Activities Board (CAB), managing budgets and ensuring the successful execution of varying campus activities.
