Centenary to offer new Alumni Referral Scholarship for students entering Fall 2024
SHREVEPORT, LA — Centenary College’s Alumni Association and Office of Admission have collaborated to create a new vehicle for alumni to support current students. Beginning with the class entering in Fall 2024, alumni will be able to refer prospective Centenary students for a $1,000 annual scholarship.
“We are thrilled to introduce the Alumni Referral Scholarship at Centenary,” said Katie Chopin, director of alumni and family relations. “Recognizing that some alumni might currently face constraints in contributing to Centenary College financially, this initiative provides an alternative way for them to actively connect with and support the College. By participating in this program, our alumni can give the invaluable gift of education to a student, helping them receive a scholarship to attend Centenary.”
Alumni scholarship referrals must be made by February 1 for the upcoming fall semester, and students must be referred for the scholarship before they have applied to Centenary. Alumni who wish to refer a student can fill out the form on the Office of Admission’s website at apply.centenary.edu/register/alumnireferral.
