Centenary to participate in regional career fair April 10

SHREVEPORT, LA — Centenary will partner with several local institutions on Wednesday, April 10, to welcome employers to a regional career fair at the LSU-Shreveport University Center. The event runs from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and is free for job-seeking students, continuing education and workforce students, and alumni to attend.

“This event presents a remarkable opportunity for our students to explore diverse career paths, engage with industry professionals, and forge valuable connections,” said Director of Career Services Debbie Bury. “Last year, we heard countless success stories as students from our region secured internships, full-time positions, and invaluable networking opportunities through the Career Fair. Partnering with other local institutions enriches the experience, broadens the scope of opportunities, and strengthens our community ties. Together, we are empowering our students to embark on their professional journey with confidence and ambition.”

The career fair is a “browse” event that will allow students and job seekers to learn about and interact with 100 employers and recruiters. Employers and recruiters will use the career fair as an opportunity to provide job-seeking students, continuing education and workforce students, and alumni with details about specific job and internship openings and to schedule interviews.

Attendees are encouraged to pre-register for the event at centenary.edu/regionalcareerfair and also to bring several copies of their resumes to leave with potential employers. A list of participating employers and recruiters will be updated at centenary.edu/regionalcareerfair.

Free transportation to and from the Regional Career Fair will be provided by the City of Shreveport. By pre-registering, students will automatically be signed up for the courtesy bus service to the fair. The pickup point for Centenary students will be at the corner of Kings Highway and Woodlawn Avenue.
