Centenary welcomes new students to campus for orientation

SHREVEPORT, LA — Members of the Centenary College Class of 2020 will attend Summer Orientation and Registration (SOAR) sessions at the College during the month of June. During the two-day sessions, incoming students register for classes, receive email addresses and student ID cards, meet their new classmates, and prepare to begin life as Centenary students in the fall.

"The atmosphere on campus sort of winds down when the semester ends, but we get right back into gear with SOAR," says Ashlie Daigle, Director of Student Involvement. "There's nothing more fun than welcoming new Centenary students and their parents and family members."

During SOAR, parents will review important information about financial aid and other resources available at the College, and will hear from current students about their Centenary experiences.

Current students serve on the SOAR team and help facilitate check-in and lead small group discussions and activities throughout the program.

SOAR sessions will take place June 12-13, June 15-16, and June 19-20.
