Enrollment underway for Centenary Piano Preparatory Program

SHREVEPORT, LA — Centenary College's Hurley School of Music is currently enrolling new students in its Piano Preparatory Program for 2016-2017. The Piano Preparatory Program offers private lessons and class piano instruction to students ages 5 to 18.

Natasha Miller, a graduate of Arkhangelsk Pedagogical College in Russia and the holder of a certificate in Piano Pedagogy from Stephen F. Austin University, is director of the program. Also teaching in the program is Centenary alumna Cara Lamb, who was the holder of the Hurley School of Music’s highest honor, the Mary C. White Scholarship, and was the winner of the 2012 Monroe Symphony League Emerging Artists competition.

Students enroll in the program for the 34-week academic year and participate in local piano festivals as well as group recitals in the Anderson Auditorium at the Hurley School of Music.

Lessons run from August 22 until May 26, 2017. Tuition will be billed at the beginning of each semester for the entire semester. Prices range from $225 per semester for class lessons to $425 for private half-hour lessons and $850 for private hour lessons.

Deposits of $100 are due by August 19 and should be sent to Centenary Piano Prep at the Hurley School of Music, 2911 Centenary Boulevard, Shreveport, LA 71104.
