Holiday Makers Market returns to Centenary's Meadows Museum December 15

SHREVEPORT, LA — The Meadows Museum of Art at Centenary College will welcome local artists, designers, makers, and businesses to the museum for its second annual Holiday Makers Market on Saturday, December 15, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The Meadows is located on the Centenary campus at 2911 Centenary Boulevard.

In addition to original artwork and crafts created by Shreveport-Bossier City vendors, the Holiday Makers Market will feature a large collection of used art books for sale. Rhino Coffee will provide free hot cocoa and coffee for the first 100 guests, and local musicians will perform live Christmas music.

The Shreve Memorial Library Bookmobile will be on site during the Makers Market this year as well, with books and crafts for kids of all ages. The Friends of the Meadows will have a craft activity for children to create an heirloom ornament to enjoy for years to come.

“I am really excited about this year’s Holiday Makers Market,” says Sean FitzGibbons, director of the Meadows Museum. “We have had many talented and innovative artists and small business owners apply to be a part of this event.  The second year of the Holiday Makers Market has seen significant growth and I am thrilled to support Shreveport's creative economy while getting into the holiday spirit.”
