The Office of Career Services serves as the bridge between students' undergraduate/ graduate experience and post-graduation plans, helping students apply the skills and experiences gained at Centenary to reach the next step of graduate school or a career. The office provides comprehensive resources, engaging programs, and advising on career development, internships, employment, and graduate school. These services assist undergraduate students, graduate students, and alumni in making career decisions, connecting with employers, and attaining their life goals.

What Can I Do With This Major

Whether you’re exploring majors or searching for information about your chosen field, this website will help you connect majors to careers. Learn about typical career areas and types of employers that hire people with each major, as well as strategies to make you a more marketable candidate.

Micro Internships

Micro-Internships are short-term, paid, professional assignments that are similar to those given to new hires or interns. These projects allow you to demonstrate skills, explore career paths, and build your networks as you seek the right full-time role. Unlike traditional internships, Micro-Internships:

  • Can take place year-round
  • Typically range from 10 to 40 hours of work
  • Are typically due between one week and one month after kick-off.

Micro-Internships are used by companies ranging from those in the Fortune 100 to emerging start-ups both in Louisiana and across the U.S. Micro-Internships are facilitated via the Parker Dewey platform, which connects Students/Recent Grads with Organizations in need of support.
