Students who have 24 or more total credit hours will be considered for academic scholarships based solely on total, cumulative college GPA. Students with fewer than 24 total hours will be considered for scholarships based on a combination of high school GPA, college GPA, and test scores.
Institutional Scholarships and Grants
Direct descendants of Centenary alumni (grandparent, parent, or sibling) qualify for this $1,000/year award. If an older sibling still attends Centenary, both students will receive the award!
Artistic Merit Award
Artistic merit awards are selected through audition or portfolio review by art, music and theater faculty. Students selected for these awards are eligible to renew them if they continue to participate in the artistic program. Artistic Merit Awards require separate auditions or applications, and many institutional scholarships and grants require the FAFSA. Students who have a parent actively serving as an ordained United Methodist minister qualify for this $5,000/year award.
Centenary Methodist Grant
Awarded annually to new full-time students. Based on need; requires membership in the United Methodist Church and completion of the FAFSA.
Centenary Out-of-State Grant
Awarded annually to new full-time students. Based on need; requires U.S. residence outside of Louisiana and completion of the FAFSA.
Centenary Grants and Endowed Scholarships
Centenary Grants and Endowed Scholarships are available to admitted students with financial need. To be eligible, students must complete the FAFSA.
Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship
Phi Theta Kappa is the world's largest and most prestigious honor society for two-year college students. In recognition of this achievement, Centenary offers a $5,000 scholarship to transfer students who are members of Phi Theta Kappa.
Campus Visit Scholarship
$2,500! (Our Registrar's Office will need to assess college transcripts for transferable hours to discern for how many years this award is renewable.) Spring transfers must apply & visit before 12/1; Fall transfers must apply & visit before 6/1.

For Louisiana residents who previously qualified for the Louisiana TOPS Scholarship and have maintained their eligibility (awarded by the state).
Louisiana GO Grant
For Louisiana residents who qualify for a Federal Pell Grant. Awards range up to $3,000/year.
