Landscape Services

Landscape services staff provides general grounds services, support many campus events and develops the campus landscape improvements. Responsibilities include:

  • Daily trash removal
  • Grass cutting edging and blowing walks and drives
  • Fertilizes trees, shrubs and grasses
  • Spread rye grasses is selected areas
  • Plants seasonal flowers
  • Install Christmas lights
  • Maintain campus fountains
  • Setups and breakdown of campus events

 

Waste Services and Recycling

Waste and recycling services are maintained by custodial staff that removes waste from buildings and disposes of it in ether waste or recycling containers.

Many buildings have converted to all recycling program where trash cans throughout the building are now recycling container and waste is placed in selected areas such as kitchens, restrooms and hallways. It is the intent to maximize the recycling program campus-wide.

 

Event Support

The facilities office provides support for campus events, including setup and tear down. Once your event has been entered on the campus calendar and “Resources” have been selected, facilities staff is notified and scheduled needed work.

Our resources include: tables, chairs, trashcans, tents, microphones, TV’s, projector screens, lighting, etc.

In an effort to reduce energy consumption, air conditioning and heating will need to be requested as well. In many cases buildings and rooms may be in “Energy Savings” unless otherwise requested.
