Members of the class of 2023 during their Centenary in Paris course.

New first-year and transfer students at Centenary College moved into their residence halls earlier this month to prepare for the College’s signature Centenary in Paris program, a unique academic experience that allows Centenary students to spend one of their first weeks of college learning in an international setting.

Students participating in the Centenary in Paris program, currently in its 6th year, began classwork in Shreveport on August 5 before departing for Paris on August 8. They return on August 16, wrap up their coursework, and prepare for the arrival of upperclassmen and the opening of the traditional fall semester on August 26.

The Centenary in Paris program represents the first of several chances for Centenary students to study abroad, and for three years, the College has been ranked #1 in the nation among baccalaureate colleges for the percentage of students who have completed an international educational experience. Centenary in Paris students form deep bonds with their classmates and professors as they explore Paris through courses focused on art, history, music, literature, STEM, and more.

Centenary in Paris and all student international travel experiences are supported by generous donations to the Great Teachers and Scholars Fund. To learn more about making a donation visit, centenary.edu/give.
