Meet Patrick!

Library Director

I’ve worked in several different librarian capacities at several different colleges around the US (including the University of the Ozarks and Savannah State University) since I became a librarian in 2008, and I’ve been teaching at the college level since 2001. Currently, I serve as Library Director at Centenary, and I’ve been here since the first day of 2022. I think libraries are the best places to be, and I believe in the value of individual information gathering and the power of reflective searching. Colleges wouldn’t work without libraries! A fun fact about me is that I trained as an assyriologist (ancient Near East) before becoming a librarian, and cuneiform studies remains one of my favorite areas of inquiry. I also really like bugs, and mushroom identification is a hobby of mine.
