Centenary College Theatre presents ‘The Thanksgiving Play’

The Centenary Theatre Program (CTP) is proud to present The Thanksgiving Play October 30-November 2, 2025, written by Larissa Fasthorse and directed by Logan Sledge.

In the play, good intentions collide with absurd assumptions.  Through wickedly funny satire, the play highlights four white teaching artists scrambling to create a politically-correct pageant to celebrate both the First Thanksgiving and Native American Heritage Month.  An actress named Alicia, believed to be Native American, is hired to provide cultural authenticity, but later, it is revealed that Alicia is actually white and only portrays Native American characters when not playing other ethnicities.

Showtimes are at 7:30 p.m. October 30 – November 1, and 2:00 p.m. on November 2.  Tickets to The Thanksgiving Play are available online at https://cur8.com/21134/project/134565.  It costs $20 for adults.  Members of the military and senior citizens pay $15.  Centenary students with ID pay only $10.

This comedy contains adult language, depicts violence, and cultural insensitivity.  It is not recommended for people under the age of 14.
