Meet the new faculty at Centenary for 2025-2026

Centenary College will officially open its 2025-2026 academic year on Monday, August 25. Several new and visiting faculty members have joined the College, as well.
Dr. Rudrajit (Rudi) Banerjee, Visiting Assistant Professor of Mathematics and Physics
Dr. Banerjee came to Centenary in the Spring of 2025. He is a mathematical physicist working at the intersection of partial differential equations, differential geometry, and quantum field theory. Dr. Banerjee holds a Master of Arts and a Bachelor of Arts in Experimental and Theoretical Physics from Cambridge University. He was awarded his Ph.D. in Physics and Astronomy from the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Banerjee previously served as a postdoctoral scholar at the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology and has six years of teaching experience as an instructor at the University of Pittsburgh and Wofford College in South Carolina.
Dr. Christian Ennis, Assistant Professor of Mathematics
Dr. Ennis holds a Master of Science in mathematics from Louisiana State University (LSU) in Baton Rouge and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond. Dr. Ennis received his Ph.D. in Mathematics from Louisiana State University in May 2025. As a graduate student attending LSU, he taught several classes and was awarded the University College Alumni Association Teaching Assistant Award in 2024. Mr. Ennis’ research focuses on probability theory and stochastic analysis.
Dr. Kristoffer (Colton) Fowler, Assistant Professor of Geology
Dr. Fowler holds a Ph.D. in Geology from Louisiana State University (LSU) in Baton Rouge and a Bachelor of Science in Geology from the University of Houston. As a graduate student, Dr. Fowler was awarded $20,000 in various grants towards his research on the stratigraphic response of the Kartli and Kura Basins to the development of the Greater Caucasus Mountain range near the Eastern Europe/West Asia country of Georgia.
Dr. Brenna Pearson-Gallion, Assistant Professor of Biology
Dr. Brenna Pearson-Gallion has a background in cardiometabolic disease and metabolic dysfunction. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Neuroscience from Centenary College. She received her Ph.D. in Molecular and Cellular Physiology from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center – Shreveport in May 2025. As a graduate student, she taught several courses and secured a Fellowship from the National Institute for Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases for her research on EphA2 in Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease.
Dr. Adam Golob, Visiting Assistant Professor of Political Science
Dr. Golob holds a Master of Arts in Latin and American and Caribbean studies from the University of South Florida and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from the University of South Carolina. He was awarded his Ph.D. in Government from the University of South Florida. He has extensive teaching experience in American Government, Comparative Politics, and interdisciplinary studies, with his last position being an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Gulf Coast State College in Panama City, Florida. Dr. Golob’s research explores issues of social justice, human trafficking, and governance, primarily in Latin America, and his recent book, Global Shifts in Human Trafficking: From Protocol to Practice, has been recognized for its contributions to federal immigration cases.
Dr. Bill Ray, Visiting Associate Professor of Mathematics
Dr. Ray holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from Louisiana Tech University and was also awarded a Doctorate in Engineering from Louisiana Tech University. Dr. Ray was a tenured professor of Electrical Engineering at Louisiana Tech University for 28 years before moving to teach secondary education Math and Science at Word of God Academy for the last 10 years. Dr. Ray continues to serve as Louisiana Tech University’s College liaison to the Tech Barksdale campus and as advisee to all engineering technology students on base.
