Looking for ways to get involved and build your resume while at Centenary? Consider Residence Life! We have a variety of organizations that you can join based on your schedule and interests.

If you have any questions about an organization, you can email housing@centenary.edu to get connected with club presidents.

Hall Council

One of the first leadership opportunities available to new students, Hall Council members advocate for students in the dorms, promote community through event planning and recognition, and gain leadership experience at Centenary. Meetings start in September and are open to anyone living in the residence halls. Join at any time!

Residence Hall Association

RHA is the governing body of the residence halls. They put on programs, help decide hall policies, oversee the Hall Councils, and participate in leadership programs. Students who serve on RHA Executive Council are elected in March to serve for the upcoming academic year. Applicants must have prior experience on Hall Council or RHA to apply.

National Residence Hall Honorary

Members of NRHH represent the top 1% of the residential student body at Centenary. They spend their time doing community service and recognizing campus community members. Nominations to NRHH are collected in March. To be selected, you must have a 2.5 GPA, show continued leadership in the residence halls, complete an application, and be voted into the honorary by current members.

Resident Assistants

As a resident assistant (RA), you'll work with Residence Life professional staff to maintain a safe and welcoming residential environment for students living on campus. RAs strive to create individual relationships with each of their residents in their area and are often one of the biggest influences on a student's perception of their college experience. Applications open in January for the upcoming academic year.

SWACURH Regional Involvement

Centenary is affiliated the National Association of College and University Residence Halls (NACURH), which is the largest student-run non-profit organization in the world. Centenary is in the Southwest Region (SWACURH). Students at Centenary have the opportunity to run for a regional or national non-profit board position. To apply, you must be an active member of a campus Res Life organization, have represented Centenary as a delegate at a  conference, and receive institutional support from the Director of Residence Life.
