No honorary degree may be granted without the approval of a majority of the Faculty.

The Trustees Committee on Honorary Degrees, through its chairman, the President of the College, should make its nominations to the Faculty as early in the academic year as feasible, but at least one week before the March Faculty meeting.

Written biographical and personal information on the proposed candidates will be circulated to the voting members of the Faculty. The President will canvass the Faculty either at its next regular meeting or by mail ballot delivered to the Faculty not less than one week following such circulation of material to the Faculty, whichever shall more effectively reduce the delay in issuing invitations to the recipients of the degrees.

Notice of Nondiscriminatory Policy The institution does not discriminate in its educational and employment policies against any person on the basis of gender, race, color, religion, age, disability, sexual orientation, national or ethnic origin, or on any other basis proscribed by federal, state, or local law.
