We are excited to announce the Academic Advising Power Hour Series! Through ongoing workshops/presentations, new and experienced advisors will:

  • Obtain context for the delivery of academic advising and its connection to student retention
  • Increase proficiency in Centenary’s advising technologies
  • Gain knowledge of the application of academic policies to guide students in decision-making
  • Gain knowledge of campus and academic resources to support student development and success

 

The Spring 2023 series has ended, but we are planning on continuing this next spring.

SOAR and First-Year Advising: Planning, Preparation and Collaboration In collaboration with the Learning Commons, this session will provide an overview of advising responsibilities during SOAR, as well as highlight resources available to aid in successful advising sessions with incoming students in the Fall and beyond.
