Statement on HBCU bomb threats

Centenary College of Louisiana stands in solidarity with HBCU campuses across the country.  We denounce and condemn the recent bomb threats to those institutions, especially at a time when we celebrate the contributions, achievements, and accomplishments of African-Americans in Black History Month.  The recent threats are a reminder of the hatred and racism that continues to be pervasive in our country.  Black History is OUR American history, and we must influence how those stories will be told.  We offer our support to HBCU campuses, and stand as allies with the African-American community.
