Madelyn Stewart recently graduated from Centenary College with a Bachelor of Arts in Choral Music in May of 2022, and is delighted to now be employed as Administrative Assistant to the Dean of the Hurley School of Music. She served in many leadership positions during her undergraduate studies, notably as Student Director of the Centenary College Choir for two years, and as President and Assistant Conductor of Centenary’s Camerata. She was named Outstanding Graduate in Music in 2022, and was the recipient of the Ronald E. Dean Academic Achievement Award and the A.C. “Cheesy” Voran Award in 2021. She hopes to begin graduate studies in Choral Conducting within the next few years.

Alongside her studies in music, she completed a minor in Communications with a concentration in Social Media and Professional Writing. She completed a two-year internship as the Hurley Marketing Intern, as well as an internship with King’s Collaborative as a Social Media Marketing and Strategy Intern. She also served as Editor and Social Media Manager for the Eta Lambda chapter of Sigma Alpha Iota.

In her free time, Madelyn also enjoys to perform. Recently, she performed as The Manager in the premiere workshop of the musical Yeltsin in Texas! and is excited to have been cast as Lucy in Menotti’s The Telephone. She has participated as a soloist in many concert programs since she was a young teenager, and she plans to carry her passion for performing with her into her career as a choral director. She also teaches private voice lessons and finds great fulfillment in sharing her love for music with her students, as well as aiding them in their musical achievements.
