Madelyn Stewart graduated from Centenary College with a Bachelor of Arts in Choral Music in May of 2022, and is delighted to now be employed as Administrative Assistant to the Dean of the Hurley School of Music. She served in many leadership positions during her undergraduate studies, notably as Student Director of the Centenary College Choir for two years, and as President and Assistant Conductor of Centenary’s Camerata. She was named Outstanding Graduate in Music in 2022, and was the recipient of the Ronald E. Dean Academic Achievement Award and the A.C. “Cheesy” Voran Award in 2021. She aspires to attend graduate school for Arts Administration within the next few years.
Alongside her studies in music, she completed a minor in Communications with a concentration in Social Media and Professional Writing. She completed a two-year internship as the Hurley Marketing Intern, as well as an internship with King’s Collaborative as a Social Media Marketing and Strategy Intern. She also served as Editor and Social Media Manager for the Eta Lambda chapter of Sigma Alpha Iota.
In her free time, Madelyn also enjoys to perform. Recently, she performed as Lucy in Menotti's The Telephone, as well as The Manager in the premiere workshop of the musical Yeltsin in Texas! She has participated as a soloist in many concert programs since she was a young teenager, and she plans to carry her passion for performing with her as she continues her work as a professional choral singer.
