In the music department at Centenary, Dr. Rebekah Burcham teaches Introduction to Music Education, Elementary Music Methods, Music Appreciation, and voice; she also teaches Education in a Diverse Society in the education department. Before Centenary, Dr. Burcham taught at Southeastern Louisiana State University, New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, and Bossier Parish Community College. In these positions, Dr. Burcham taught music theory, piano, music for the elementary teacher, and the supervision of student teachers. While teaching at the elementary level, Dr. Burcham taught general music and choir for grades PreK-6 in Louisiana and Florida. Dr. Burcham has been a guest lecturer in music education throughout the country.

Dr. Burcham holds a Bachelor of Music Education and Master of Music Education from the University of Louisiana at Monroe and a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Florida.
