Theresa Zale Bridges has been principal oboist of the Shreveport Symphony since 1988. She is native of Rochester, New York and holds degrees from the Eastman School of Music and Northwestern University. She is also principal oboist for the Longview Symphony and the South Arkansas Symphony, and has performed with the Rochester Philharmonic, the Civic Orchestra of Chicago and the Chicago Symphony. She has appeared as a soloist with the Rochester Philharmonic, and the Shreveport and Longview Symphonies.

Ms. Bridges is active as a chamber musician, performing with the Baroque Artists of Shreveport, the Shreveport Symphony Woodwind Quintet, and the New Friends Chamber Players. In the summer she plays in the orchestra of the American Institute of Musical Studies, a vocal institute in Graz, Austria. In 1998 she was the recipient of the Music Fellowship from the Shreveport Regional Arts Council.
