Ways to give to the Annual Fund

Unrestricted (areas of greatest need)

Unrestricted dollars go to work immediately to benefit all parts of campus life in support of students, professors and programs. Unrestricted annual fund gifts impact all aspects of the College.

Scholarship Support

Annual Fund dollars for student scholarships support ALL students by allowing the College to operate without drawing down our endowment more than would be prudent or raising tuition substantially.  Additionally, annual gifts by alumni, parents, and friends contribute to the generous need-based aid packages that make a Centenary education accessible.

Academics

Building on a firm foundation in the liberal arts, Centenary is committed to education that happens inside and outside the classroom, in the community, and in the world. Centenary students will be challenged to read, listen, and think critically; to write and speak clearly; to analyze, interpret, and synthesize ideas and information qualitatively and quantitatively; to celebrate the diversity of human cultures, and to appreciate the value of artistic expression. This will take place on a campus enriched by individuals from many faiths and cultures and that emphasizes ethical and intellectual growth and the joy of creativity and discovery. Annual gifts to academics help to support faculty development and recruitment, student support, and curricular innovation and development.

Athletics

Gifts directed to support athletics go to the operating costs associated with our 19 varsity sports, club teams and facilities. Annual fund gifts to athletics also help to provide funding for athletic awards and travel for NCAA playoffs.
