English 101 – Introduction to College Writing

Discover the best strategies for clear and powerful communication. Engage with literary and cultural texts from across genres as you add your voice to important conversations. In this class, you’ll learn to develop your own writing process, as well as how to incorporate sound research and evidence to support your arguments. You’ll join a vibrant classroom community where we sharpen each other’s ideas through feedback and collaboration. Build the skills necessary to succeed in college and craft an individual writing portfolio as you prepare for the future.

Prerequisites: ACT English Subscore of 19; SAT English Subscore 25 WL

 

GEOL 101 – The Dynamic Earth (Physical Geology)

June 5, 2023 – June 23, 2023

This course is an opportunity to study our planet! By exploring plate tectonics, rock forming processes, and the role these play in local geology, you’ll strengthen your knowledge of Earth’s composition and uncover the physical processes that produce its characteristic features. In the lab, you’ll get hands-on experience studying minerals, maps, and scientific data as you hone your interpretative skills of geologic phenomena.

Costs

$300 per course and price of books and materials
