The Council of Independent Colleges Online Course Sharing Consortium (CIC-OCSC) exists for two related main purposes: a) To enhance the pace at which students at participating institutions complete degree programs by providing them with additional convenient course options from mission-aligned institutions, and b) To allow participating institutions to increase the number of students at other institutions who may choose to enroll in online courses at participating institutions and to retain some of the tuition that students currently invest in courses taken at third-party institutions.
